I'm not feeling confident that I can do this on my own. Will I really be able to create my own stand-out resume after taking this course?

Yes! This course was tested with professionals at all levels, from those coming straight out of school with little professional experience, to administrative assistants, and all the way up to executive-level professionals. All of them have been able to create their new resume with the step-by-step instructions and template contained in this course. Plus, the course includes a 15-min resume review session with Grisel where you can have any lingering questions answered and get a final polishing of your new resume.


What items will I need to have with me before I take this course?

You will need to have at least 3 job descriptions, all within the same job family, in order to get the most out of this course. A "job family" consists of a group of jobs that all involve similar job duties, skills, and qualifications.

You will also need a copy of your existing resume or CV to use as a reference tool for all of your past experiences.


How do I know that the information contained in this course is accurate and up-to-date?

Grisel maintains close relationships with a variety of recruiters to ensure that she shares the most current information with her clients. Information for this course was collected from at least 15 recruiters, and their insights are interwoven throughout the entirety of the course. In addition, once the course was completed, the course was reviewed by 3 recruiters who all agreed that this course contains information they use to make decisions on applicants during their initial resume-review process.


What if I have any additional questions after I complete the course? How will those be answered?

Once you complete the course, you will be prompted to schedule a 15-minute resume review session with Grisel where she will review your new resume, give you additional suggestions to polish it, and will answer any questions you have about your resume.


Does this course cover interview preparation techniques?

The course does not cover interview preparation techniques because it is laser focused on your resume. It does include strategies on how to apply for your jobs of interest to increase the likelihood that your resume is seen by a recruiter.
